Time Table
1996 - The idea for Quantex was born
The idea for Quantex begun back in 1996, when founder Stuart Simonsen began developing algorithmic trading strategies. As he continued to develop more complex and multidimensional strategies he realized that a more robust platform would be required.
2003 - Trading platform was built
After a futile search for a system to support his needs, Stuart developed his own OMS, trading and backtesting platform in 2003. The first version of what would become Quantex was born.
2022 - Moving to the cloud computing
The original platform served its purpose for the next several years, but in 2022 a decision was made to expand trade to cloud based multiple markets and eventually multiple asset classes.
2023 - System truly built "by traders for traders"
Hence, a stronger and even more powerful platform to develop, test and manage orders was needed. During the course of this development we consulted with traders, fund managers, family office managers and CTA’s to help build a suit of features and applications incorporated in today’s Quantex system.
